Referência: TE011 - As fotos são apenas recordações como era lindo e imponente ,Digno de um Hotel 5 estrela Internacional  Este material tem o intuito de reunir toda lembrança e história deste hotel, pois os meios que encontrei a história são de difícil acesso e depende de tamanha pesquisa. Por fim ressalto meu compromisso aqui, que é unir o conteúdo e não poderia deixar de falar  deste patrimônio, que possui história, Se  perdeu no tempo, prevalecendo apenas na memória dos antigos moradores e das pessoas que passaram por lá em seus dias de funcionamento.  Itapirubá é uma praia brasileira que está localizada metade na cidade histórica de Laguna e com sua outra metade no município de Imbituba, no estado de Santa Catarina. Pertence ao município de Imbituba Sta Catarina. Em 1978 foi inaugurado o primeiro hotel de grande porte do litoral de Santa Catarina. Ainda hoje é o maior hotel de praia do estado, com 213 apartamentos, edificado numa área de 15.038,00m²  num terreno de 58.080,00 m², só que está vazio, inativo e completamente depredado.  A história que o fez chegar ao ponto em que está é sensacional.  Construído pelo Grupo Battistela,  mais tarde, em 2002, o ex-proprietário do Hotel Fazenda Jomar,  adquiriu-o e reformou-o. O hotel vinha tendo vida normal até que, em janeiro de 2004, foi vendido para um ex-funcionário da Rede Globo. Aí começou a parte verdadeiramente espetacular da história. Sem experiência em hotelaria, o novo dono tratou de turbinar o hotel, contratou executivos, empregados e inchou a folha de tal maneira que em sete meses foi à falência. Mesmo depredado, como mostra as fotos acima, o hotel continua imponente, dominando a paisagem à beira-mar. Sua situação, causada por uma administração delirante, causa prejuízos à atividade turística da região. Quem vê aquele esqueleto imagina que ficou assim por falta de hóspedes ou porque a praia é ruim. Bem não é verdade pois a praia é maravilhosa, linda  e charmosa , quem adquirir essa  área poderá erguer um Gigante e Luxuoso Hotel ,a cada tijolo contará sua história ,resgatando sonhos daqueles que por ali passaram .
